How to evaluate Deployment tools
Deployment turns an agent-produced artifact into a reachable service. For agent workflows, the platform also needs a controlled API or CLI for builds, configuration, releases, health checks, rollbacks, and environment promotion.
Compare platforms with the workload you expect to operate: request-driven functions, persistent services, workers, scheduled jobs, or isolated compute. Review build reproducibility, secret handling, observability, regional options, rollback behavior, and limits on runtime duration or concurrency.
The 47 providers listed on this page are candidates, not a universal ranking. Shortlist tools from the requirements below, confirm the claims in each provider's current documentation, and run a small proof of concept with production-like inputs.
Evaluation checklist
- Deploys are reproducible and return an immutable revision or release identifier.
- Health checks, logs, metrics, and rollback controls are available to operators.
- Production changes can require explicit approval and least-privilege credentials.
Sources and verification
Use these primary sources to verify current behavior before making an implementation or purchasing decision. Product capabilities, limits, and prices can change after a 4agent listing is reviewed.
