LanceDB is an open-source vector database built on the Lance columnar format for multimodal AI data. It supports vector, full-text, and hybrid search, versioned datasets, filtering, and local or cloud operation, giving agents a durable store for embeddings, documents, images, and long-term retrieval memory.
